Great show! This was my first time to listen to the podcast – it was great! I will be competing in my first triathlon (sprint) in August, and this show was incredibly helpful.

I’ve been running pretty consistently over the past two years (5 half-marathons, 1 full marathon, tons of 5ks and 10ks) and I am really excited to enter into the world of triathlons. They are definitely a different beast!

Thanks again for the podcast – I’m looking forward to the next episode!

Enjoyed the podcast. My wife and I have been coaching a couple who just completed their first race. It’s easy to forget how overwhelming a first race is, especially considering that a lot of people do a race with no open water swimming experience. My advice to any newb is to swim in open water at least once before your race. If anything it will greatly calm your nerves. I didn’t have a chance to do that before my first race, and I was a basket case!
